AI Specialist

Full-Time
Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur

About RAIN

RAIN is a fast-growing U.S.-based digital marketing agency serving banks and credit unions. We are actively building AI into how our teams work, with a focus on improving efficiency, consistency, and quality across our operations.

Role Overview

We're looking for an AI Specialist to work alongside our Fulfillment and Operations teams in Kathmandu and turn real business problems into practical AI solutions.

The most important part of this role is problem solving. You will sit directly with different teams, understand how they work and where they are struggling, and figure out how AI, automation, or lightweight tools can help.

This is not a software engineering role or an AI research role. We are looking for someone who understands AI, knows how to prompt effectively, can code well enough to build practical solutions, and enjoys working closely with people to solve problems.

You will also help train employees on AI tools such as Claude and drive adoption across the Nepal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sit with the Fulfillment and Operations teams to understand their workflows, problems, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and improve practical AI tools, automations, workflows, and lightweight applications that solve those problems.
  • Test solutions with real users, gather feedback, troubleshoot issues, and improve them over time.
  • Develop effective prompts, instructions, and AI workflows that produce reliable results.
  • Train employees on Claude and other AI tools and help teams adopt AI in their day-to-day work.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in a business environment — operations, sales, fulfillment, delivery, client service, or a similar role. You have been accountable for real work with real deadlines.
  • You are a problem solver first. You can sit with a team, work out what is actually slowing them down, and decide what to build. The building is the easier half of the job.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, automations, or business workflows — professionally or through your own projects.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt design, structured outputs, and practical AI implementation.
  • Working proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/Node.js — enough to build, modify, and troubleshoot practical solutions.
  • A genuine team player. Much of this role is sitting with people, listening, and earning their trust. A tool only matters if the team adopts it.
  • Able to work within an existing architecture and codebase rather than rebuilding solutions from scratch.

Please apply even if you do not meet every requirement listed above. We are open to people with unconventional career paths. We care more about how you think, what you can build, and your ability to solve real problems than whether your resume checks every box.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in digital marketing, agency operations, campaign management, or marketing analytics.
  • Experience with Databricks, Google Ads or Meta Ads data, RAG/knowledge-search systems etc
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.

Location and Work Setup

This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Kathmandu office. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this role — sitting directly with the teams you build for is central to the job. Occasional evening hours may be needed when collaboration with the U.S. team requires additional overlap.
